Did you know that storm drains are NOT connected to the sanitary sewer system? A storm drain system is designed to carry only rainwater away from our homes. The water in storm drains flows DIRECTLY into our ponds, lakes and streams eventually discharging to the Gulf of Mexico and Tampa Bay.
