Community Policing

Deputy Travis Stanton was born in Seminole, Florida and is a lifelong resident of Pinellas County. He attended St. Petersburg college and obtained an associate’s degree in public safety. After graduating college and attending the SEPSI Police Academy, Deputy Stanton began his career in law enforcement in 2017 with Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO). Deputy Stanton has served as a patrol Deputy throughout the entire service area that PCSO covers. Deputy Stanton has experience on the Hurricane Deployment Team and is an active member on the Negotiator Response Team. Deputy Stanton is trained in advanced speed measurement as well as pedestrian and bicycle safety. Deputy Stanton takes pride in the enforcement of traffic laws with a focus on education and safer roadways for everyone. After gaining experience in patrol operations, Deputy Stanton transferred to the Community Policing unit in 2022 where he served as the CPO for the City of St. Pete Beach. Deputy Stanton enjoys working closely with city officials, community leaders and residents alike. Deputy Stanton has two elementary-aged children and enjoys spending time with his family by kayaking in local parks and Florida springs.
