Call for Artists: Florida-Inspired Art Exhibition
The Seminole Community Library invites local artists to submit original two- and three-dimensional artworks for an upcoming exhibition in our new library gallery. We are seeking works that reflect a Florida theme, broadly interpreted—e.g., natural landscapes, wildlife, coastal and inland environments, history, architecture, cultural life, or personal interpretations of life in Florida.
Eligibility
This call is open to artists living in Pinellas County and or students at St. Petersburg College. Both emerging and established artists are encouraged to apply.
Deadline
Deadline for submissions is January 26, 2026.
Artwork Guidelines
- Media: All two-dimensional and three-dimensional media will be considered, including painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, sculpture, ceramics, fiber, and assemblage.
- Theme: Florida-inspired subject matter or concept.
- Size: Works must be suitable for display in a small gallery space within a public library.
- Presentation: Two-dimensional works must be wired and ready to hang; three-dimensional works must be stable and suitable for public display.
Exhibition Details
- Exhibition Dates: March 1 – May 31, 2026
- Location: Seminole Community Library, Seminole, FL
- Fee: No submission or exhibition fee
- Sales: Works may be for sale with a 25% commission to the Library
Submission Requirements
- Artists should submit a completed Artist Application Form along with 1-3 images to gallery@myseminole.com
Selected artists will be notified by February 9, 2026. The library reserves the right to make final curatorial decisions based on space, suitability, and community standards.
