Deputy Klase has been a law enforcement officer for 13 years and has been with the Sheriff's Office for the entire time. He attended both the Corrections Academy and the Law Enforcement Academy at St. Petersburg College. He is currently assigned to the Community Policing Unit in the City of Seminole. His previous assignments were with the North County Community Policing Traffic for the City of Oldsmar for 3 1/2 years and prior to that, trained new deputies with the Field Training Unit.
